Managing Your Mood This Holiday Season

With daylight savings time ending and winter on its way, we are feeling the effects on our mood. How we feel mentally and physically each day impacts our ability to enjoy life. It is ever important to take time for ourselves during the hectic holiday season. There are several ways to gently lift the spirit. In addition to a healthy diet, commitment to exercise, and mindfulness, supplements that support mental well-being are excellent for your proactive approach to living.
You may already realize just how significantly your diet and lifestyle can influence your mood. What you may not realize is that there are supplements that can also be helpful for adapting to stressful situations.*

Here are a few of my favorite supplements for mood enhancement.

Ashwagandha’s adaptogenic properties provide multi-functional support for promoting general mental and physical wellness, including support for occasional stress, joints, memory, immune function, and healthy lipid and glucose metabolism.
l-Theanine, a unique amino acid, provides helpful relaxation support without causing drowsiness and easing occasional nervous tension and irritability.
GABA helps to moderate occasional stress by encouraging relaxation in the body and promoting a positive mood. GABA may also support immune health during mild stress.
5-HTP (5-Hydroxtryptophan) encourages increased serotonin levels in the brain to promote a heightened state of emotional well-being, support appetite control, and sleep/wake cycles.
CBD oil for stress and anxiety interacts with more than fifty body components. It targets the endocannabinoid system and neural-transmitters, thus helping alleviate stress, depression, and anxiety.
As always, if you have questions, please reach out.
